Nuclear Energy by Richie Banat :)

How Nuclear energy is converted/transferred into usable energy:
Nuclear fission generates heat which makes steam which turns turbines, turbines turn generators and generate electrical power.

How nuclear energy is used today:
Nuclear power is used to power nuclear power plants and to power nuclear weapons and more.

Advantages of using nuclear energy:
  • Not expensive
  • No smoke produced
  • Huge amount of energy from small amount of feul
  • Small amount of waste

Disadvantages of using nuclear energy:
  • Very dangerous
  • Must be sealed up and burried for a long time to allow the radioactivity to die away
  • Alot of money must be spent on safety

Nuclear energy is a nonrenewable energy source
The source of nuclear energy is uranium atoms
